Commis Chef (30-40 hours per week)

A Fantastic opportunity to work in a recently refurbished boutique hotel in the heart of Lancashire and the gateway to the Lake District offers a first-class restaurant c.40 covers, a cosy bar and 6 luxury rooms.

The New Inn has a reputation for a quality and vibrant menu with the best of local produce, we’re looking for a Commis Chef to work as part of a small team to produce quality and consistent food for our loyal customers and visiting guests. The New Inn has developed a reputation both locally and with our visiting guests for quality service and now with extra requirements to keep our team and customers safe from the risk of COVID 19, this role plays a key part in building customer confidence.

What we’re looking for from you

You will benefit from the following skills and experience – not all are essential as we’ll help with some training:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation or equivalent
  • Relevant proven experience in a similar environment
  • An eye for quality standards, control and hygiene
  • Enthusiasm for producing consistent, quality food
  • Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts and days with a flexible approach to working hours

Chef de Partie (30-40 hours per week) £9.50 per hour
